Entabeni Nature Guide Training

Led by the renowned game ranger and best-selling author Lee Gutteridge, the Nature Guide Training School is based at the Entabeni Safari Conservancy at the Legend Golf & Safari Resort. 

One of the leading schools in the country, students get to experience life in the heart of the African bush alongside the animals, flora and fauna they are learning about. A variety of practical-based courses lead to many of our highly-qualified students going on the work as game rangers at our own properties and across Africa.

The School offers nature guide courses covering a wide variety of topics, including rifle handling, walking dangerous game, wild flower and tree identification, tracking, reptile identification, mammal and bird identification and behaviour, ecology, geology, astronomy, wildlife photography and many other topics.

All courses are taught by qualified instructors who have extensive experience as nature guides and all courses are fully endorsed by the Field Guides Association of Southern Africa (FGASA) the recognised standard setting body for nature guides in South Africa.
