Riso Africa Donation

A JAPANESE business has thrown its support behind the conservation work at Africa's most exciting golf and safari resort with a generous R5000 donation.

Film company Riso Africa previously presented Legend Golf & Safari Resort's rare breed wildlife centre with a solar-powered surveillance camera. The big cat spy cam was fitted into the roof of a birthing den on one of the centre's innovative “lion islands” to allow animal experts to monitor the recent birth of three tawny cubs to first-time Mum Precious, the 27-month-old lioness.

LEGEND WOOS WOOSNAM

FORMER Masters winner and World No 1 Ian Woosnam has hailed Legend Golf & Safari Resort's tribute to the famous 12th hole at Augusta a perfect replica.

Welsh golfing legend Woosnam recently visited Africa's most talked about leisure venue to take on the challenge of the world-famous Extreme 19th golf hole and to view for the first time the Signature Course golf hole he designed.

The exclusive Lookout Restaurant at Legend Golf & Safari Resort, at the Big Five Entabeni Safari Conservancy in Limpopo, is nestled between the world-first Signature Golf Course – designed by 18 of the world's top golfers - and the Mmadikiri Dam.

GOLF Digest has rated the new 18-hole Signature Course at Legend Golf & Safari Resort the Best New Course in South Africa.

The golf magazine’s ranking is considered to be the bible of golf course standards and has heaped yet more accolades on this world first course.
The ranking is based on seven criteria – shot values, playability, resistance to scoring, design variety, aesthetics, memorability and conditioning – and the Signature Course came out on top.
With each hole designed by 18 different world famous golfers (a world first!) the magazine said it has “taken signature design to a new level...”

THE sky was the limit for a group of orphan children as they enjoyed helicopter flips over Legend Golf & Safari Resort.
The youngsters from Abraham Kriel Kinderhuis in Modimolle took to the skies over the award-winning resort at the Big Five Entabeni Safari Conservancy in the Waterberg, Limpopo, during their day-long visit to the leisure venue.
