"If there's one thing that excites me most about Legend Golf & Safari Resort's entire Signature Course it's how fine the balance between risk and reward is. I wanted my hole to reflect this unique feature and be as much of an enjoyable golfing experience as all other 17 holes.
I have created a wide fairway for the amateur player yet also made sure those more courageous golfers will be faced with a challenge. Believe me, that bunker has a punishing face and it reminds me exactly of links golf at its most testing.
The sheer scale of the golf course is very impressive but I still want golfers to make a bold start from the tee. I want golfers to feel confident enough to consider the challenge of taking up the carry bunker and setting up an easier approach to the flag.
And if at all possible, I want golfers to feel the sheer elation of securing the bonus of a birdie on my hole. There's nothing quite like it."
