"My downhill par 5 is I think a handsome conclusion to the front nine and played with the prevailing wind means that standing on the tee should excite those with the driver in hand.
I want people to open their shoulders and hit the nice wide fairway, in preparation for the choice ahead.
The fairway undulations we have created make the judging of distance a little deceptive and with the green protected by water to the right and bunkers to the left it’s crucial to be in good position from the tee.
We have made sure the greenside lake is clearly visible from distance so this helps to focus the mind.
And we have placed a bunker along the edge of the lake to catch balls which are only slightly mishit.
I think it’s a great birdie hole and hope many visitors achieve this goal to end the front nine on a real high."
