Africa is famous for the Big 5 – lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard.

And here at Legend Golf & Safari Resort you can see them all at close quarters.

We have a main pride of lions that are truly the kings of the jungle.

Their hunting ground covers almost the entire safari conservancy and they can often be seen lazing during the heat of the day sleeping off a good meal.

Our leopards are slightly more elusive as is the want of this most beautiful big cat. But if you want to see leopards then the Waterberg Mountain is the place as it’s home to the highest concentration of leopards in the world. 

Two herds of elephants are delighting visitors as they move majestically across the conservancy. With one herd on the upper escarpment and the other on the lower there is every chance you can track them through the day. Although you’d be surprised how easily it is for a herd of elephants to hide in the bush.

The rhino and buffalo are two of Africa’s most enigmatic big animals, a sighting of which always causes amazement at their size and power.
