World Cup Brazilian Fans Visit Legend Golf & Safari Resort

LEGEND Golf & Safari Resort has been besieged by thousands of Brazilian fans.

But there's great news for golfers.

Brazilians prefer a bigger ball - and there is still availability on the award-winning resort's world-first golf courses.

A whopping 82 groups of fanatical football fans are staying at Africa's most talked about leisure venue throughout the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup.

Guests have included footballing legend Cafu, the man who famously led Brazil to victory in the 1994 and 2002 Soccer World Cup tournaments and was photographed on the resort's 18-hole Signature Golf Course during his stay.

Helicopter flips across the venue at the heart of the Big 5 Entabeni Safari Conservancy in the Waterberg, Limpopo, have been a big hit with the Brazilian fans who have jumped at the opportunity to get a bird's eye view of Legend Golf & Safari Resort.

However the championship Signature Golf Course – the first course designed by 18 of the world's top golfers – still has availability and bookings can be made.

Each hole has been designed by a golfing great, from Immelman, Goosen and Monty to Garcia and Harrington to name but a few. Set against the stunning backdrop of Hanglip Mountain, this is a must-play course.

In addition to the Signature Course, the Tribute Course pays homage to nine of the world’s most famous par 3s, recreated here in all their glory and joined by one of the resort’s own design to form an amazing 10-hole journey round the best short golf holes in the world.

The on-site Legend Golf Academy and driving range have been built with amateur and professionals alike in mind – those who want the very best facilities to help perfect their game. Three different grass types allow every detail of game play to be addressed while specially built slopes on teeing areas replicate authentic on-course golf experiences.
